***SAFE 05/03/17 *** A volunteer writes: After spending her entire four years in one home, pretty Iris now finds herself bunking in the cat adoption room. It’s a big adjustment for any cat, but Iris is scoring an A+ for effort. Though hesitant when she first arrived, she now engages volunteers and staffers when they stop by her cat condo, leaning in for brief petting sessions and to snag some of her favorite treats too. She appears to be comfortable with people, but Iris seems to also enjoy her independence, too. Her previous person told us that she liked to wander off in the home on her own sometimes, and with an activity level in the medium range, she didn’t need a lot of one-on-one playtime. Iris also displayed excellent litterbox habits and nice manners in her previous household, and she was totally fine being picked up, brushed, and held. She doesn’t seek much affection, but enjoys having someone around. So, if you like a laid back and quiet companion who respects your private space, then introduce yourself to this sweet lady today!
