ILARI – A1060534
Gone - 1-3-2016 Manhattan
**GONE 01/03/16** ILARI IS A 1 YEAR OLD KITTEN WHO NEEDS A VET TO CHECK OUT HIS EYE CONDITION BUT HE IS NOT SICK OTHERWISE AND THE ACC IS STILL PLANNING TO KILL HIM! ILARI came into the shelter as a stray. Someone saw him, trapped him, and dumped him. How nice for the new year! Sadly this pretty gray boy ILARI got an EXPNOCHILD RATING even though he did give head-butts to the assessor and enjoyed some petting. The shelter stated he wasn’t acclimating to the ACC environment. Gee, you wonder? This poor boy is just out of kittenhood and needs a home fast! If you can foster, this will get him the vetting he needs for his “third eyelid” condition which is easily fixed. CONTACT A RESCUE NOW TO PULL ILARI TO SAFETY!!

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Ilari was calm and relaxed upon approach. Reaction when softly spoken to: Ilari looks at the assessor with relaxed eyes. Reaction to cage door opening: Ilari remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Ilari was hesitant and shifts away from the assessor’s hand. He shows some interest, rubbing against the cage wall and allows brief petting on his head. He shifts away quickly after a second, and gently pats the hand with his paw. When attempting to pet him again, he will nip the air around the assessor’s hand as a warning. If you ignore the warning, he will nip and swat. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Ilari does not seem to be acclimating well in the care center. He tolerates attention and petting but only allows limited interactions before he pats the assessor’s hand away and attempts to nip. He has not escalated or shown outward aggressive behaviors, but we feel that this cat will do best in stable home environment with experienced cat parents and without children is in his best interest.
