09/07/16 14:56 Animal’s appearance – Kitten appeared slight dirty but of healthy weight. Animal’s demeanor with you – Kitten was in a trap. No handling. Kitten was transferred directly from trap to den. Kitten displayed no aggression during transfer but was tense and nervous. Client stated that the park is overrun with stray cats and multiple people are feeding them which isn’t favorable for the park. Traps were set and this kitten amongst 5 other cats were captured and brought to SIACC.

Hunt came to the shelter as a stray, so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies in a home environment. Upon intake, Hunt was tense and nervous. Reaction to assessor: Hunt is low in the back of her cage. Reaction when softly spoken to: Hunt looks at assessor with wide eyes, ears flat. Reaction to cage door opening: Hunt hisses repeatedly. Reaction to touch: Hunt backs away from touch and growls, does not allow handling. Placement Determination: New Hope Only Hunt does not approach the assessor and avoids all handling. Hunt is exhibiting behavior suited to rescue partners who can find appropriate placement for her.
