SAFE 9/24/17 **NEED PLACEMENT ASAP** Bottle Baby Duo Alert! Meet Humpty and Dumpty @BACC! These cuties have URIs and conjunctivitis, though with a little guidance they’re eating gruel on their own. They need placement ASAP.

Humpty A1126420, 2 Weeks Old, Tortoiseshell DSH, Female, 0.8 lbs, Stray 09/23/17

Medical::

DVM Intake Exam

Estimated age: 2 weeks

Microchip noted on Intake?  negative

History :  stray

Subjective: BAR, ~ 5% dehydrated

Observed Behavior – very sweet. Easily handleable. Did well for all medical handling and procedures

Evidence of Cruelty seen – no

Evidence of Trauma seen – no

Objective

P =    wnl                       R =    eupneic                           BCS 5/9

EENT:  Eyes have purulent d/c ou and are sealed shut but globes appear normal, ears clean, mild purulent nasal d/c bilaterally

Oral Exam: kitten dentition erupting, no oral lesions noted

PLN:  No enlargements noted

H/L:  NSR, NMA, CRT < 2,    Lungs clear, eupneic

ABD:  Non painful, no masses palpated, distended

U/G:  FI

MSI:  Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, dirty hair coat

CNS:  mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities

Assessment:

Underage

URI with conjunctivitis

Plan: Continue to monitor while at BACC

Clean eyes

LRS SQ 15ml once

Start doxycycline 10mg/kg PO SID x10d

Start erythromycin OU BID x10d

Recheck daily-keep in medical isolation

Prognosis: Fair

SURGERY: temporary waiver due to underage and illness

Dumpty A1126421, 2 Weeks Old, Orange and White Tabby DSH, Male, 0.6 lbs, Stray 09/23/17

Medical::
