***SAFE 10/22/17*** BEGINNER SWEETIE HOUDINI NEEDS SOME MAGIC TONIGHT TO SAVE HIS LIFE! HOUDINI is LOW SUSPECT FOR RINGWORM has some alopecia on his body. Although he was woods lamp negative – he was still being treated for ringworm but now the shelter says he must go – HOUDINI is very friendly and affectionate. Ringworm (if in fact that is the problem) is treated with anti-fungal cream. PLEASE WORK SOME MAGIC AND RESERVE HOUDINI BY NOON!
Hello, my name is Houdini. My animal id is #9822. I am a male white kitten at the Manhattan Animal Care Center. The shelter thinks I am about 11 weeks old. – P
I came into the shelter as a stray on 15-Oct-2017.

KNOWN HISTORY: Houdini was brought in as a stray, so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies in a home environment. MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: Observed Behavior -very FRIENDLY ENRICHMENT NOTES: Resting on bedding, playing gently with pillow toy. Came to the front when door opened, soft eyes and body. Leaned and arched into pets, purred, sat calmly when held. Ideal event cat once healthy. Cage Condition: Cage is neat Reaction to assessor: Houdini immediately comes soliciting at the front of the cage. Reaction when softly spoken to: Houdini remains soft in place. Reaction to cage door opening: Houdini remains standing at the front of the cage, relaxed body posture, soliciting attention. Reaction to touch: Houdini head-butts the assessors hand and appreciates petting on the head and body. Reaction to being picked up: Allows the pickup and remains calm. ACTIVITY LEVEL: Lively VOCAL: Talkative CHARACTER TYPE: Social Sweet Affectionate BEHAVIOR DETERMINATION: Beginner Behavior Asilomar H – Healthy BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Houdini interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat can go to a beginner home.
