Basic Information:
Hokus is a 5 year old neutered domestic shorthair that has no past or current medical issues that the owner is aware of. Owner has had Hokus for almost 5 years.
Socialization:
According to the owner, Hokus is friendly/outgoing around strangers. Owner has 2 children ages 6 years old and a teenage and owner described Hokus as respectful around them. Hokus lived in a home with another cat and was relaxed and affectionate with the other cat. He has not been around dogs therefore behavior is unknown. Hokus has never bit another person or animal while in the care of the owner.
Behavior:
Hokus is not bothered when someone picks him up and holds him, when being put in a carrier or if he is disturbed while sleeping. Owner has never tried to give him a bath, trim his nails or brush his coat so she was not sure how he would react to having that done.

When in the home, Hokus liked to follow owner around, sit on owner, be in the same room as someone or be in his favorite spot. He enjoys playing with catnip toys, and laser pointers. Hokus is an indoor only cat who is litter box trained. In the home, he used a hooded litter box with either clumping or clay litter. Owner had a vertical cardboard scratching post in the home that Hokus likes to use. Owner stated that Hokus really likes to chase bugs and lights around. When it comes to food, Hokus was fed dry food only- brand Iams twice a day.
