Tense and crouched on top the kuranda bed. She lip licks, then turns her head away when I open the kennel door. Shrinks body when touched, lip licks. Tolerates very slow petting on her head and body. Not interested in treats. Seems very uncomfortable.

Resting on kuranda bed, chirping and makes eye contact when coaxed. Crouches over when door opens, but leans in for petting and starts to purr. Starts to roll around, very sweet and affectionate!

Hero was tense and crouched in her litter box, with her tail wrapped around her body.
Reaction when softly spoken to:
Hero’s ears tilt forward and she makes eye contact with the assessor.
Reaction to cage door opening:
Hero lip licks and becomes alert.
Reaction to touch:
Hero sniffs the assessor’s hand, slow blinks and slowly raises her rear when pet along her body. She leans in when rubbed on her cheek, slowly rises up out of the litter box and looks around the kennel at her surroundings. She appreciates attention, but still seems a bit unsure and isn’t confident enough to come forward.

Hero was tense when picked up, and struggled to be put down.

She has lived with another female cat. The cat stayed a parted. they share things around the house but did not engage in play and sometime hisses at each.

During intake she was a bit fearful. She tried to run but with a slow approached she sat and allowed to be collard, scanned and photographed.
