HARLEY AND THE FIESTY TWINS – #K16-057108
Safe - 5-18-2016 Brooklyn Rescue: Feline Rescue of SI Please honor your pledges: http://felinerescueofstatenisland.org/donation/
**SAFE 05/18/16** MOMS NEED HELP TOO! That’s the takeaway a person gets insight into when they read Harley’s ACC notes! This 8-month-old KITTEN came to the ACC with kittens of her own, kittens who have already made their way OUT of the shelter and into a safe new situation. WHAT ABOUT HARLEY? Why was no one there to help HER? Because she was left behind, that set the stage for the ACC to do what they do best. Meaning, they left her to rot in one of their cells, they slapped a NEW HOPE rating on her, and they scheduled her execution for TOMORROW. This pretty (but frightened) girl can only be saved by a NEW HOPE RESCUE, so please find a foster/adopter who is willing to work with one of those phenomenal groups tonight!
**MUST BE PULLED BY A NEW HOPE RESCUE**

05/16/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Harley was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. Reaction to assessor: Harley was hiding inside her feral den. Reaction when softly spoken to: Harley makes eye contact from within but doesn’t come forward. Reaction to cage door opening: Harley remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Harley’s ears bend flat and hisses at the assessor. Her body is arched then she attempts to swat and bite as you approach. She currently doesn’t allow any handling. Behavior Determination: New Hope Only Harley is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and may require further investigation before placement in a home. She has tried to swat, bite and does not currently tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
