03/29/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Our enrichment facilitator has interacted with Hamburg and at the time he tense, hiding in litter box and didn’t move. Hamburg tail was curled up but he tolerated petting. Reaction to assessor: Hamburg does not come to front but remains neutral When spoken quietly: Hamburg does not come to front but remains neutral Reaction to door cage opening: Hamburg remains motionless Reaction to touch: Hamburg seems indifferent to my presence and touch Try picking cat up: Hamburg is tolerant of this type of handling but tense. Behavior Determination: Experience Hamburg was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment he was displaying fearful behavior; does not seek attention from the assessor and becomes alert when the kennel was open. Remains motionless as I started to get closer. I was able to pet him and interact with him in a limited way. I was also able to pick him up. Although he was tense no fractious behavior was display. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
