***SAFE 11/01/16*** HAGE WAS DEPOSITED AT THE SHELTER BY AN OWNER WHO GAVE NO ANSWER WHEN ASKED WHY – NOW HAGE HAS A COLD AND WILL BE KILLED FOR IT!! How’s that for the ultimate betrayal. HAGE lived in a home with older children and was playful and affectionate with them. She liked to follow the household members around and would meow for attention. HAGE is only 2 years old and probably thought she had a family that loved her. But for no known reason, she was suddenly abandoned like an old pair of sneakers at the ACC. HAGE is a good girl and got an EXPERIENCE rating. She loved the attention and petting but is understandably tense in the shelter. Once in a home again, this little love bug will charm her way into your heart!! PLEASE GIVE HAGE AN INVITATION TO BE YOUR NEW BEST FRIEND! EMAIL [email protected] FOR RESCUE INFO NOW!!

10/07/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
As per previous owner, Hage has lived with children ages 10 and 15 and was respectful and playful with them. She is gentle and playful around children and is shy around strangers for a couple of days. Hage enjoys being brushed and picked up and held and wasn’t bothered when being placed in a carrier. Her owners describe her as friendly, affectionate and quiet with a medium activity level. Reaction to assessor: Hage was curled up in the back of the kennel facing the assessor. Reaction when softly spoken to: Hage becomes alert, his ears rotate and he doesn’t come forward. Reaction to cage door opening: Hage remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Hage seemed unsure at first then leaned forward to sniff the assessor. She slowly leans in when rubbed on his cheeks; occasionally lip licks then moves around when pet along her body. Her body slowly relaxes, rises up with her tail lowered, appreciates attention and leans in for head rubs. Reaction to being picked up: Hage was a bit tense when held but remains calm and looks around at her surroundings. Behavior Determination: Experience Hage may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
