GUCCI – A1080867
Gone - 7-25-2016 Brooklyn
**GONE 07/25/16** NO ONE IN HER CORNER! GUCCI is a spayed 9-year-old love bug who has NO ONE rooting for her; no one has her back, no one is looking out for her best interests; humans have shown themselves to be pretty much worthless to her as of late. GIFTED to someone a few short weeks ago, the person who received her allowed GUCCI pretty much ZERO TIME to get acclimated, before deciding that her “house soiling” behavior mandated a trip to the executioner. That’s a HORRIBLE way to deal with a cat who has only just arrived, who is still learning the ropes, and who might even have a medical issue behind the urination that was taking place away from the litter box. GUCCI somehow managed to NOT have been handed out during the “Clear the Shelter” event, and who even knows if she was available on the adoption ward? One way or another, the ACC want her cage EMPTY tomorrow afternoon, and since they couldn’t get it done via free adoption event, they’ll get it done by KILLING HER. Please make sure GUCCI gets the happy ending she deserves—and help make humans look like less of a group of thoughtless, cat-hating primates—-by finding a FOSTER/ADOPTER for GUCCI, tonight!

07/14/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
As per previous owner, Gucci has lived with one adult and another cat. She has not been around children or dogs. Around the other cat she is relaxed and affectionate. Gucci has been urinating outside the litterbox and will urinate on bedding and around the furniture. Gucci is described as mellow and shy. Reaction to assessor: Gucci does not come to front but looks at you calm and relaxed When spoken quietly: Gucci does not come to front but looks at you calm and relaxed Reaction to door cage opening: Gucci remains soft and relaxed Reaction to touch: Gucci seems indifferent towards peting and attention Try picking cat up: Gucci is tolerant of this type of handling. Gucci’s previous owner reports that she was eliminating outside the litterbox, we are unaware if any, modification steps were taken to try and address this behavior. Please note as well that Gucci’s previous living situation may have contributed to the behavior seen. We cannot be sure whether this behavior will continue in a different home environment, but we recommend that potential adopters be comfortable with management and modification techniques for elimination outside the litterbox should this behavior continue in a home environment. We also recommend that Gucci be provided with numerous litterboxes throughout the house as she adjusts to her new living space. The extra boxes can be removed as she learns the space and successfully defecates in her main litterbox. Behavior Determination: Experience At the time of the assessment Gucci was displaying calm behavior, did not come to the front of the kennel but interacts with the Assessor, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. Due to Gucci litterbox issues she is displaying behavior appropriate for experienced cat parents.
