Name and A#: A1112216 Gregory Date: 5/21/2017 KNOWN HISTORY: Gregory came to the shelter as a stray, so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies in a home environment. Client stated that the cat allowed handling, and he allowed all handling with admissions staff. MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: friendly, affectionate, allowed handling EVALUATION: Cage Condition: Cage is neat Reaction to assessor: Gregory looks at the assessor and meows softly. Reaction when softly spoken to: Gregory remains soft and relaxed, meowing softly. Reaction to cage door opening: Gregory approaches the front of the cage. Reaction to touch: Gregory head-butts the assessor and begins to purr, allows petting all over body. Reaction to being picked up: Gregory is calm, purring during this type of handling, allows to be held on his back in assessor’s arms. ACTIVITY LEVEL: Moderate VOCAL: Somewhat chatty CHARACTER TYPE: Affectionate, Sweet, Easy going BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Beginner Please note that Gregory is being treated for an upper-respiratory infection at the time of the assessment, and that this may affect the behaviors shown.
