Grayson was brought in as a stray, so there is no information on their behavior history or tendencies in their previous home. Grayjoy was very nervous and timid during intake. Grayjoy was not hissing or swatting, but sat low with it’s tail wrapped around it’s body.

Grayjoy chirps and approaches the front. He appeared calm, relaxed, and friendly.
Reaction when softly spoken to:
Grayjoy plops down and chirps again, rolling over. He looks at the assessor with soft eyes and rubs his body against his blanket.
Reaction to cage door opening:
Grayjoy greets the assessor by the opening, soft and relaxed.
Reaction to touch:
Grayjoy chirps and accepts petting, leaning in for cheek rubs. He begins to purr and is very affectionate throughout the inetraction.
Reaction to being picked up:
Grayjoy is a bit tense during pick up, but he remains calm when held.

S/O: BARH. Attention seeking, allows all handling.
EENT: Pink mm, mild dental staining, eyes clear, no ocular or nasal discharge, ears clean
HL: Normal thoracic auscultation
ABD: Soft, non tender
INTEG: Full coat
MS: Ambulatory x 4, intermittent lameness of right hind limb, moderate swelling of right hind paw
UG: Male
Sedated with dexdomitor 0.27ml IM (already received simbadol)
No palpable fractures, small healing wound at medial metatarsal pad, no other wounds noted; no swelling of long bones. Reversed with antesedan 0.15ml IM
Radiographs:
Swelling of RH digits, all long bones and digit appear intact, greenstick cortical fracture of dital tibia and fibula diaphyses, already healing (bone is intact but has small cracks and is slightly bent)
A: Greenstick fracture of right tibia/fibula, swelling of right hind paw – injury likely 2-3 weeks old
P: Continue with pain management as previously described. Cage rest recommended. Continue to monitor while at BACC. Good prognosis

Oral Exam: no dental tartar
PLN: No enlargements noted
H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupnic
ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated
U/G: intact male with two descended testicles
MSI: Ambulatory x 3 with intermittent RHL lameness, right hind foot moderately swollen and erythemic, painful on manipulation (ortho exam limited due to patient temperament)
CNS: Mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities
Rectal: normal externally
Assessment
1) Lameness, right hind limb (swollen foot)- top differential is trauma (r/o fracture vs luxation vs soft tissue injury) vs cellulitis secondary to animal bite/scratch (though no external evidence of this evident) vs less likely neoplasia
Prognosis: fair to good
Plan:
Onsior 2 mg/kg SQ SID for 3 days
Simbadol 0.24mg/kg SQ SID for 3 days
Recheck tomorrow +/- radiographs if indicated
