Gray Whale A1066031 – 5 yr. male gray tabby
Gray Whale was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. Please note that this cat has a severe medical condition so we may not be seeing any true behavior and behavior may change when the cat’s medical condition improves.
Reaction to assessor: Gray Whale is calm and relaxed at the back of the kennel. He makes eye contact with the assessor but doesn’t come forward.
Reaction when softly spoken to: Gray Whale remains motionless at the back of the kennel.
Reaction to cage door opening: Gray Whale is calm and relaxed.
Reaction to touch: Gray Whale allows petting all over and will inch forward slowly seeking attention. He rolls over playfully and rubs up against the assessor’s hand.
Reaction to being picked up: Gray Whale is a bit tense at first but warms up quickly. He becomes calm and relaxed and will continue to solicit attention when held.
Behavior Determination: Average
Gray Whale interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.

OLIGODONTIA – NO TEETH PRESENT – POSSIBLE ROOT REMNANT OF UPPER LEFT CANINE PRESENT, MILD INFLAMMATION AROUND THE AREA.
H/L = NMA, NSR, CLEAR LUNG FIELDS

AS: MILD BLACK WAXY AURAL DEBRIS WITH MILD AMOUNT OF YELLOW TINGED FLUID IN THE INNER CANAL. EAR TIPPED
AD: MODERATE AMOUNT OF THICK YELLOW LIQUID AND DARK BROWN DEBRIS WITHIN CANAL. ON OTOSCOPIC EXAM, ERYTHEMATOUS MASS BLOCKS THE HORIZONTAL EAR CANAL – UNABLE TO VIEW TM.
CNS = PATIENT CONSISTENTLY CIRCLES TOWARDS THE RIGHT ALONG WITH A HEAD TILT. EYES REMAIN DIRECTED TO THE RIGHT. PLR PRESENT (DIRECT AND CONSENSUAL) OU, ABSENT MENACE OU, PALPEBRALS PRESENT OU. APPEARS TO HAVE APPROPRIATE PAW PLACEMENT.
EATING WELL, BUT UNRESPONSIVE TO NOISE NOR IS AWARE OF HEIGHTS/LEDGES (WALKS OFF THE TABLE REPEATEDLY)

RECOMMEND PLACEMENT ASAP FOR FURTHER DIAGNOSTICS, X-RAYS, BLOOD WORK, SEDATED ORAL/AURAL EXAM, ETC.
