Hello, my name is Gray. My animal id is #14550. I am a male gray cat at the Manhattan Animal Care Center. The shelter thinks I am about 9 years 1 weeks old. – P
I came into the shelter as a stray on 25-Nov-2017.
Gray is a geriatric boy at risk due to medical conditions, Upper Respiratory Infection (contagious illness), dental disease and a heart murmur. Gray will likely require in home care with a course of antibiotics. There are no behavior concerns for Gray at this time, average determination.

KNOWN HISTORY:: Gray was brought in as a stray, so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies in a home environment.
MEDICAL BEHAVIOR:: Observed Behavior – shy
ENRICHMENT NOTES:: Curled up in litter box, dozing. Lay in place when door opened. Allowed and slightly leaned into pets. Still sleepy?
Cage Condition:: Cage is neat
Reaction to assessor:: Gray remains neutral, crouched position with head up by the front of the cage.
Reaction when softly spoken to:: Gray becomes alert, looks up with soft eyes.
Reaction to cage door opening:: Gray remains in place, ears erect and forward, eating treats.
Reaction to touch:: Gray sniffs and slowly leans into the assessor’s hand then purrs, but remains comfortable in place with no further interest with the interaction.
Reaction to being picked up:: He becomes antsy then jumps back into the cage.
