Basic Information:
Ginger is a 10 year old female cat who was surrendered due to her previous owner’s family having allergies toward the.
Socialization:
Around strangers Ginger is shy for a few minutes and plays gently with adults and children age 3 years old. Ginger has lived with another cat who she was relaxed and affectionate toward. Ginger has never been around dogs so it is unknown how she will react to them.
Behavior:
Ginger has never bitten/scratched another person/ animal and has not shown any concerning behavior while at home. Ginger has never ridden in a car. Ginger’s is fearful or being given a bath and having her nails trimmed. Ginger enjoys being brushed and picked up/held. Ginger will struggle when being placed in a carrier and is not bothered when someone disturbs her while she is resting/sleeping.
For a new Family to know:
Ginger is described as affectionate, shy and quiet with a low activity level. When at home Ginger likes to be in the same room with her owner. Ginger likes to play with wand toys and was kept indoors only. Ginger ate both wet and dry food. Ginger is litter box trained and uses both an uncovered and hooded litter box with clumping litter. Ginger uses a vertical scratching post made of rough rope.
Intake Behavior:
Ginger did not allow staff to collar or scan for a microchip, ginger attempted to flee and began growling/hissing at staff.
