Ghost – 22840
Hx: High rise trauma. Owner lives on 5th floor so presumably pt fell from the 5th floor. Presented with dullness, epistaxis, ataxia, dyspnea, LF lameness. Mannitol was given and pt received IVF overnight. Rads showed no obvious fractures of the front legs and body, but an alveolar pattern in the cranioventral lung fields which was suspected to be a pulmonary contusion. Pt is receiving Simbadol, Onsior, Cerenia, ofloxacin ophth and saline nebulizations. S: Alert, eating well this morning, walks easily around kennel, appears very bright and mentally appropriate. Purring throughout exam. O: BAR, BCS 4/9, MMs pink and moist EENT: Scant crusty dark ocular and nasal discharge – no active discharge. Moderate black granular discharge AU. Clean teeth – adult canines are coming in. PLNs: Not significantly enlarged. H/L: NSR, NMA. Normal resp rate and effort, quiet lung sounds. No coughing or sneezing. Abd: Soft, no pain on palpation, no masses palpated M/S/I: Partial-weight-bearing lameness of left front leg. No swelling noted in this leg today, no fractures palpated. No skin lesions noted. Neuro: Alert and appropriate, no sign neurological deficiencies A: 1. High rise trauma – fell from 5th floor. Left front leg lameness – R/O soft tissue injury 2. Likely ear mites Short-term prognosis: Good
