SAFE 8/12/18 FIV+ Georgie – *Will Require 6 month RABIES Quarantine* Georgie came to us as a stray because the person that was feeding him noticed a big gash behind his ear. Due to a wound of unknown origin, he will require a 6 month rabies quarantine. Stipulations regarding the quarantine have not been confirmed yet. PLEASE NOTE, THE 5 BOROUGHS OF NYC ARE MUCH EASIER TO GET APPROVAL FROM DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH

EENT: Eyes clear, ears clean, no nasal or ocular discharge noted
Oral Exam: mild dental calc
PLN: No enlargements noted
H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupneic
ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated
U/G: MI, 2 descended testicles
MSI: Ambulatory x 4, flea dirt, no masses noted, approx 1 inch linear wound behind the left ear; mild firm swelling of subcutaneous layer surrounding wound, no discharge seen
CNS: Mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities

cleaned wround wound with chlorohexiderm and flushed with sterile saline
gave convenia injection 0.4 mls SQ (x)
