MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: Allows handling and full exam ENRICHMENT NOTES: 09/18/17 Lying curled up in back of kennel. Tolerates petting along head and body while raising her head and tilting her ears. Needs more time to adjust. Maybe uncomfortable due to medical condition. 09/19/17 Lying in litterbox with a low body. She tolerates petting along her head and body while flattening her ears and turning her head to watch my hand. Needs more time to adjust. Sprayed feliway. EVALUATION: Cage Condition: Cage recently cleaned Reaction to assessor: Gena was curled up tight on her blanket near the back of the cage. Reaction when softly spoken to: Gena lowers her head and doesn’t come forward when coaxed. Reaction to cage door opening: Gena remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Gena lifts her head up and vocalizes when the assessor extends his hand out. Her body feels tense/stiff, she slow blinks and tolerates petting slowly along her body. She seems uncomfortable, remains immobile throughout the interaction and turns her head away when she’s had enough.
