I am a female gray tabby and white domestic sh mix. The shelter thinks I am about 11 MONTHS old.
I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 10/27/2016 from NY 11368, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY.

10/27/16 19:37 Gasper is a gray tabby and white DSH with no known medical conditions. Gasper was found wandering loose outside and followed the finder home. Gasper was described as sweet friendly and playful. Gasper played gently and enjoyed being pet. He allowed finder to pick him up. During intake Gasper was calm and quiet. HE allowed to be scanned and collared with a loose body. Gasper allowed all handling.

10/31/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – AVERAGE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Gasper was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. Her finder reports she was wandering around outside and followed them home. She was described as sweet, friendly, and playful. She played gently with the finder and enjoys being pet, allowing the finder to pick her up. She was calm and quiet upon intake and allowed the medical team to handle her during her initial medical exam. Reaction to assessor: Gasper approaches the front and was calm, relaxed, and friendly. Reaction when softly spoken to: Gasper meows softly and leans her head against the cage door. Reaction to cage door opening: Gasper remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Gasper chirps, head-butts, and leans in for petting. She appears to appreciate petting, but was trying to explore outside of her kennel. Reaction to pick up: Gasper meows during pick up, but remains calm when held. Behavior Determination: Average Gasper interacts with the Assessor, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
