***SAFE 09/25/16*** PERFECTLY HEALTHY AND HANDSOME GARY IS BEING KILLED FOR NO REASON, REALLY…… well the reason is that GARY is a bit nervous and tense in the shelter…well, who wouldn’t be? GARY is a neutered 2 year old that came from a home with too many pets. The good thing about that is we do know GARY lived with other pets and was ok with them. Now this poor boy sits all alone and scared in a cage awaiting his doom tomorrow. And the ACC couldn’t even take a nice photo of him so people could see what a great looking cat he is! GARY NEEDS A HERO – AND NEEDS ONE NOW!! WILL YOU OVERLOOK THE EXPNOCHILD RATING AND REALIZE THIS ONLY MEASURES GARY’S BEHAVIOR SITTING IN A TINY CAGE AND NOT IN A HOME? EMAIL [email protected] NOW FOR RESCUE INFO SO YOU CAN ADOPT THIS WONDERFUL CAT!

09/22/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Gary was curled up in the back of the litter box with his tail at his side and eyes focused on the assessor. Reaction when softly spoken to: Gary stress meows when the assessor calls his name then he lowers his head trying to avoid contact. Reaction to cage door opening: Gary remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Gary looks around for an exit and is hesitant of contact when the assessor approaches him. He stays in place when touched and closes his eyes when petted along his body. He remains in his litter box, stress meows then lowers his head. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Gary tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his or her new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
