Lying in litterbox, body tense and ears completely flat. Tolerates petting along the head and body while turning head slowly to watch my hand. Turns head back towards me when kennel door opens. Pupils dilating then retracting. Needs more time to adjust.

Lying in back of kennel, body low and tense. Avoids eye contact when spoken to. Tolerates petting along head and body while remaining very still and turning head to watch my hand, ears tilted. Not interested in treats at the moment. Nervous and unsure, needs more time to adjust.
