***SAFE 06/21/17*** GENTLE AND AFFECTIONATE FRISKY IS A 10 YR OLD GAL WHO LOST HER HOME WHEN OWNER WAS HOSPITALIZED. A volunteer writes: Frisky, contrary to her name, is a quiet and mellow cat. She is affectionate but also independent. She is also an older cat and would probably need some extra care. But overall she really just needs a loving home and a warm bed. Can we help this nice girl find the home she deserves? FRISKY MUST BE RESERVED BY NOON!!

06/05/17 17:17 Basic: Frisky is a 10 year old female dsh. Her owner got her as a kitten and has had her for approx 10 years. Her owner has had to go into the hospital and can no longer take care of her. She has not been to the vet in a long time and has not had any injuries or health issues. Socialization: Frisky had spent her life around older adults, and so has not had much interaction with any children. She is therefore a little shy and quiet, but will come out and be affectionate and really loves to be petted. She plays with adults gently and exuberantly. She has not spent time around other cats, dogs, or other pets. Frisky does not have a bite history. Behavior: Frisky is very well behaved at home, the only thing she does is scratch on the furniture. She has never been in a car, but meowed on the bus on her way to the shelter. She uses the litterbox well and has not had any issues with it. She has never gotten a bath, nail trim, or been brushed. Her nails were trimmed occasionally at the vet. She isnt bothered when picked up or held, or when put in a carrier. She isnt bothered when disturbed while resting/sleeping. For New Family: Frisky is described as quiet, affectionate, mellow and independent. Her activity level is medium and she will be in the same room as her owner when her owner is home, or Frisky will be in a favorite hidden spot that is hidden. Her owner loves how pretty she is and how gentle she is, She likes to play with toy mice. She has been kept indoors only and sleeps all around the house. She eats both wet and dry food. She uses an uncovered litterbox with clumping litter. She does not have a scratching post and so will use the furniture to scratch on. During intake Frisky was nervous with dilated pupils but allowed all handling and collaring.
