***SAFE 07/22/16*** COSMO AND FRAN CAME IN WITH SEVERAL OTHER KITTIES FROM A HOARDING SITUATION -NOW THEY WILL BOTH DIE BECAUSE THEY ARE AFRAID! COSMO and FRAN are two of a group of cats that were brought in together from a hoarding situation. COSMO is 5 months old and FRAN is 7 months old. These kittens are definitely used to living with other cats and now need homes of their own. COSMO is very afraid and is not allowing handling but FRAN did allow minimal touching. FRAN is on the public adoption site but COSMO is not. These two housemates will need a kind and patient purrson to give them time to adjust on their own. We do know that cats behavior in the shelter is not what it would be in a home. These two may not take long before they are purring and cuddling up to you. GIVE COSMO AND FRAN A DEATH ROW PARDON TONIGHT! CONTACT A RESCUE TO PULL THEM TO SAFETY!!

Reaction to assessor: Fran looks tense in the cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Fran remains crouched position at the back of the cage, alert with pupils dilated. Reaction to touch: Fran accepts the stroke, but flinches during the touch and attempts to hide. Placement determination: Experience / no child Fran tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children.
