07/07/17 15:59 Finder was able to approach animal, pick animal up and place into a carrier without any issues. Behavior during intake: Animal had a stiff body during intake and was trying to hide in the carrier. Counselor was able to scan for a mc, collar and take a picture without any issues.

Upon intake, Ford had a stiff body and was trying to hide. MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: friendly EVALUATION: Cage Condition: Cage is neat Reaction to assessor: Ford is sitting at the back of the cage. Reaction when softly spoken to: Ford looks at assessor, body neutral. Reaction to cage door opening: Ford remains neutral. Reaction to touch: Ford remains motionless, allows all petting. Reaction to being picked up: Ford is tolerant of this type of handling, but tense. ACTIVITY LEVEL: Mellow VOCAL: Quiet CHARACTER TYPE: Shy, Independent BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Please note that Ford is being treated for an upper-respiratory infection at the time of the assessment, and that this may affect the behaviors shown. RECOMMENDATIONS: – Experienced cat parent Behavior observations _x_ Experience Ford tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter.
