***SAFE 03/07/16*** OWNER DIES AND FLAMINGO AND HIS HOUSEMATES WERE DUMPED AT THE ACC – NOW THIS PERFECTLY HEALTHY CAT WILL DIE FOR BEING AFRAID!! FLAMINGO was brought in with 2 other cats who are not listed tonight – WALTER – A1066403 and WALLY – A1066341. Their owner died and sadly they had no one that wanted to take them in. FLAMINGO is 7 years old and allowed some petting and attention but was tense and nervous. Sadly he was punished with an EXPNOCHILD rating and whisked off to tonight’s list. FLAMINGO is a family pet who deserves a chance for a new home and a happy ending to his story. GIVE FLAMINGO A CHANE TO FLY OUT OF THE ACC AND INTO YOUR HEART. AND DON’T FORGET HIS HOUSE MATES! 03/01/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Flamingo looks tense in the cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Flamingo remains hiding in his cat den, alert with eyes wide open. Reaction to touch: Flamingo accepts the stroke, but stiffens up during the touch and remains cautious with his surroundings. Placement determination: Experience / no child Flamingo tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
