Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Fanni was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. Reaction to assessor: Fanni hides behind his litter box at the back of the kennel. Reaction when softly spoken to: Fanni lip licks and lowers his body. Reaction to cage door opening: Fanni remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Fanni stress meows and hisses when you approach him. He doesn’t allow contact and tries to flee the kennel. Behavior Determination: New Hope Only Fanni is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and may require further investigation before placement in a home. He is extremely fearful in the shelter environment and does not currently tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
