MSI: Ambulatory x 4, fleas, no masses noted, healthy hair coat
CNS: Mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities

Fa Mulan wakes up and becomes alert, hissing quietly at the assessor.

Fa Mulan hunches in place and hisses again.

Fa Mulan slowly warms up and leans into the stroke, but remains wary of her surroundings.

Fa Mulan is a young cat who may not have had many interactions with humans from an early age. She may be apprehensive of people, but the behavior team believes she has potential to warm up to people. Kittens less than 8 weeks of age can be socialized by almost anyone; however, kittens between 2-6 months may require more time and skill in order for them to be comfortable around people. Please speak to an adoption counselor to learn more about socialization techniques.

Fa Mulan came in as a stray intake with Pocahontas. She is a young adult female cat.

Behavior Notes:

Upon intake, Fa Mulan did not allow handling. She hissed and tried to hide in the back of the kennel. She preferred the company of Pocahontas and tried to hide under her.
