Observed Behavior – seems comfortable being held

Evidence of Cruelty seen – none

Evidence of Trauma seen – none

EENT: Eyes clear, ears clean, no nasal discharge noted

Oral Exam: mm pk, moist; CRT <2 sec; deciduous 4th pm’s breaking through

PLN: No enlargements noted

H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupnic

ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated

U/G: male intact

MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, healthy hair coat

CNS: mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities

Rectal: not performed

Assessment

1. Felv-r/o transient vs chronic

2. underweight/underage

Plan

retest for felv at 9-10 weeks of age

Prognosis: fair if remains felv pos; excellent if clears infection

SURGERY:

Temporary waiver due to age/weight

Everglade is a young kitten that was found with EverestA1109354. She was said to cry a lot while being transported to the care center.

Behavior during intake

Everglade allowed handling and allowed to have her weight taken as well as a photograph and to be collared. She loves to move when being held.

Everest allowed handling and allowed to have her weight taken as well as a photograph and to be collared. She hissed a lot when you first attempt to handle but doesn’t afterwards. She was quiet as she stared at counselor.
