EVANS – A1073114
Gone - 5-14-2016 Manhattan
***GONE 05/14/16*** THREE CATS-ONE GREAT NEED! Meet Evans, Elya and Easton, 75% of a kitty quartet that arrived at the ACC as strays on May 10th. EASTON seems to be the roughest of the group, so please be sure to read his medical notes carefully; the poor guy was dehydrated and sporting some old wounds and broken teeth, among other things, when he arrived at the ACC those few days ago. Evans and Elya are seemingly in better physical shape, and all three of them earned respectable EXPNOCHILD ratings. For each cat, noon tomorrow marks a critical point in their lives—will they live to see another day, or will the ACC kill them while NYC eats lunch? Hope dies with Evans, Elya and Easton tomorrow, unless foster/adopters step up for these cats tonight!

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Evans looks tense in the cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Evans is hiding in her cat den, alert with pupils dilated. Reaction to touch: Evans at first attempts to escape her cage, but once touched she stiffens up and places head down. Placement determination: Experience / no child Evans tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
