I am a male black domestic sh mix. The shelter thinks I am about 9 MONTHS old.

I came in the shelter as a OWNER SUR on 10/29/2016 from NY 11377, owner surrender reason stated was HOARDING. I came in with Group/Litter #K16-079712.

11/01/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Epsilon was brought in without information on his behavioral tendencies in his previous home environment. He lived with lots of other cats and appeared well during intake. He was tense and nervous during his initial medical exam, but allowed all handling to be conducted. Reaction to assessor: Epsilon was lying down in his litter box and had a low body posture. Reaction when softly spoken to: Epsilon’s eyes dart from me to his surroundings. Reaction to cage door opening: Epsilon lowers his body and wraps his tail tightly against his body. Reaction to touch: Epsilon was hesitant and shifts away from the assessor’s hand, but remains immobile during touch and flinches when touched on his body. Behavior Determination: Experienced, No Children Epsilon tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
