Reaction to assessor: Ena pops out of her cubby and comes forward to greet by the door.
Reaction when softly spoken to: Ena meows softly then reaches out trying to get the assessor’s attention
Reaction to cage door opening: Ena waits by the door and is eager to interact with the assessor.
Reaction to touch: Ena brushes her whole body up against the assessor and meows softly when rubbed on her head. She is very chatty, constantly rubs up demanding attention and can occasionally nip with slight pressure.
Reaction to being picked up: Ena was a bit tense and whines when picked up but allows all handling.

Basic information
Ena is a 5 year old spayed Brown tabby and white DSH with no know medical conditions, Ena is being surrendered to the shelter because of owners health.
Socialization
Ena has lived with a child the age of 6 and is very relaxed and affectionate with them. Ena plays gently with children but somewhat roughly with adults. Ena will sometimes bite and scratch while playing but does it softly and has never broken skin. Ena has not lived with other cats or dogs in the owners h9me, Around strangers Ena is friendly and outgoing.
Behavior
In car rides Ena is relaxed and quiet. Ena isn’t bothered when getting bathes and enjoys being brushed,. Previous owner has not attempted to trim Ena’s nails. Ena enjoys being picked up and held. When being placed in a carrier Ena is afraid but will let you place her in.
For the new family to know
Ena was described as friendly and independent with a medium activity level. When home with Ena she is usually in a favorite spot of hers or will follow you around when shes hungry. Ena doesn’t play with toys much but likes to scratch on a rope material scratching post. Ena is litter box trained and uses a covered litter box with clumping litter. Ena eats Friskies dry food and gets fed twice a day. When it’s time for bed Ena likes to sleep on her cat bed.
Behavior during intake
During intake Ena was Quiet. Ena pushed her face against carrier seeking attention. Ena allowed to be scanned and collared with a loose wiggly body. She enjoyed being pet and allowed all handling.
