ELLIE – A1072723
Safe - 5-18-2016 Manhattan Rescue: Posh Pets Please honor your pledges: http://poshpetsrescue.org/
***SAFE 05/18/16*** SECOND CHANCE FOR ELLIE!! ELLIE is a handsome tuxedo cat who was found as a stray. He’s young and healthy, except for a small cold. This cutie is 1 ½ years old and head-butts the assessor at the shelter. Then he gets a little scared. Can you blame him? This sweet cat is on tomorrow’s death row list, if he’s not rescued. Poor guy! ELLIE would make a wonderful pet in an experienced pet home with no children. Despite being nervous and shaking, ELLIE is being really brave and tolerates all petting. Please rescue this great kitty today! You will be forever thankful you did!

05/10/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Ellie looks neutral, lying down on his cage bedding when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Ellie remains in place, relaxed body posture, soliciting attention. Reaction to touch: Ellie head-butts the assessor’s hand and appreciates petting on the head and body. However, after a few strokes he becomes agitated then swats at the hand and attempts to nip. Placement determination: Experience / no child Ellie tolerates attention and petting but may be stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
