SAFE 8/11/18 A volunteer writes: A quiet, demure and sweet young lady who likes to contently sit in her cubby away from the raucous in the shelter. At first Ellie just looked at me with those demure eyes. I gave her a treat; wasn’t able to pick it up so I offered it by hand. Being discerning, there were some sniffs and then she took the treat and licked my hand (perhaps to say thank you for the attention?). More treats , some strokes on the head (gently, of course) and those chin and cheek rubs that kitties love so much. This gal remained calm the whole time. All Ellie needed was a bit of patience , a while to get accustomed to me and she was “eating out of my hand!”
ELLIE was left at the shelter by her owner. She is healthy and needs a furever home this time.
