Ellie was brought in with limited information on their behavior history or tendencies in a home environment. She lived in a home with several other cats and was reported to be relaxed and affectionate around them. When meeting the staff at the ACC for the first time Ellie was shy but allowed the counselor to pet and pick her up with no problem.

Comes forward when I opened the cage door. Meows softly, leans in for attention. Relaxed body posture, erect tail. Doesn’t mind being picked or held. Social and friendly.

Ellie sniffs around and looks out with dilated eyes.

Ellie retreats to the back and crouches over.

Ellie was hesitant of contact, but accepts petting and slowly warms up. She leans in for head rubs and closes her eyes, but her overall body posture remains tense and she wraps her tail around her body.

Ellie is a bit tense, but she allows handling and remains calm.
