ACTIVITY LEVEL: Mellow VOCAL: Somewhat chatty CHARACTER TYPE: Social, Sweet MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: 8/19/17- Observed Behavior – a little shy but willing to come out ENRICHMENT NOTES 8/20/17 Resting in open den, facing front, soft eyes and body. Stood and came forward when door opened, leaned and arched into pets. Ate offered treats, sniffed hand between bars after door closed. Squinted and started slow blinking. 8/21/17 Resting in middle of cage, soft eyes and body. Stood and came to the front when door opened. Leaned and arched into pets, ate offered treats. 8/22/17 Dozing in middle of cage, woke and lifted head when spoken to, soft eyes and body. Stood and came to the front when door opened. Leaned and arched into pets, ate offered treats. 8/23/17 Sitting right at the front today, soft eyes and body, occasionally meowing. Stood when door opened. Leaned and arched enthusiastically into pets, started to roll over, ate offered treats. 08/24/17 Calm and relaxed, lying down when approached. He gets up an approaches immediately when cage door opens. Attempted to clicker train him to give high fives, but he would rub against the cage door instead. Super sweet guy. He allowed all petting and leaned in for cheek rubs. Resting in middle of cage, soft eyes and body. Meowed, stood, and came to the front when spoken to. Head-butted, leaned and arched into pets, ate offered treats. EVALUATION: Cage Condition: No change Reaction to assessor: Elias remains neutral, lying down on his cage bedding during the approach. Reaction to door opening: Elias stands with tail up, relaxed body posture, ears erect and forward, and soft eyes. Reaction to touch: Elias head bunts the assessor’s hand and appreciates petting on the head and body. Reaction to Being Picked up: He becomes antsy then jumps back into the cage. BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Elias interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.

Bloody discharge reported on bogus paper. Moderate serous ocular discharge and blepharospasm. No nasal discharge. In a room that is quarantined due to panleukopenia exposure. Move to isolation area of this room, and start doxycycline 0.9 ml PO SID x10 days and erythromycin OU BID x10 days. 1088
