Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Einstien looks tense, crouched position on his cage bedding when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Einstien remains in place, alert with normal shape eyes. Reaction to touch: While Einstien accepts the stroke he slowly began to lean into the assessor’s hand and lip licks during the touch, as he remains wary with his environment. Placement determination: Experience Einstien tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.

Microchip: negative Sex: intact male Age: appx 8y Mentation: QARH Eyes: clear Ears: old aural hematoma OD (damage pinna, “crinkled”) and thick d/c in both ears consistent with earmites, 0.2ml ivermectin SQ, ears partially cleaned (cat was very resistant) Nose: no d/c Teeth: moderate to heavy dental disease (dark staining, heavy tartar and odorous with wear on all teeth) If abnormal BCS: obese Skin: WNL Hair Coat: heavy dander with some mats along tail and underside Declawed: no Any injuries: see above Behavior: allowed handling but tense and shut down, strong pinnal-pedal reflex (cat will scratch any area available and obsessively groom after ear cleaning) Medication: N/A, preventatives given
