Standing in front of kennel, body and face soft. Head-butts kennel door and begins to knead when spoken to. Allows all petting while leaning in with entire body and raising tail. Very sweet and affectionate, doing well behaviorally despite medical condition.

EENT: Eyes – chemosis and mucopurulent discharge OU, ears – large amount of greenish-brown waxy discharge but no erythema AU, bilateral serous-mucoid nasal discharge
Oral Exam: Appears to have adult dentition with minimal to no tartar/gingivitis
PLN: No enlargements noted
H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupnic
ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated
U/G: wnl
MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, Alopecia of proximo-ventral tail
CNS: Mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities
Rectal: not performed
Assessment: URI/Conjunctivitis, Underweight, Alopecia
Prognosis:
Fair-Good
Plan: Cleaned ears. Move to ISO. Start on Doxycycline 50mg/ml – 0.3mls PO q24h x 10d and Terramycin ophth oint – thin strip OU q12h x 10d; gave first dose of each. Recheck day 7 and 10.
