DUWOP – A1088634
Gone - 9-9-2016 Brooklyn
***GONE 09/09/16*** DEBONAIRE DUWOP IS ALL READY TO GO HOME WITH THAT SPECIAL PURRSON – BUT YOU MUST HURRY BEFORE THE ACC KILLS HIM AT NOON!! DUWOP is only 2 years old and PERFECTLY HEALTHY! He was brought into the shelter as a stray, probably by someone who just didn’t want him around. But this dashing guy has not gotten a good deal from the ACC – who has done nothing to help him find that new home! DUWOP was not too caring about the assessor and did allow petting and handling but was not happy about having his back touched by the old fake plastic hand. DUWOP is just waiting and hoping that his good looks will cause him to catch someone’s eye – after all he is all dressed up in a “tux” – and take him home. HURRY NOW IF YOU WANT TO ADOPT THIS SUPER CAT – CONTACT A RESCUE NOW TO PULL HIM TO SAFETY – ACT NOW – THERE IN ONLY TIL NOON!!

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Duwop was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. Reaction to assessor: Duwop makes eye contact and meows softly from within the litter box. Reaction when softly spoken to: Duwop squints and slowly turns his head away from the assessor. Reaction to cage door opening: Duwop remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Duwop rises up sniffs the assessor’s hand and seems unsure of contact. He slowly leans in for rubs and doesn’t mind being touched on his head with a slow approach. Duwop gets irritated, leans away and raises her paw up when attempting to pet him on his back. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Duwop tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his or her new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
