SAFE 10/10/16 **RETURN** A volunteer writes: When I met Duffy, this big chunk of handsome tabby goodness was all sprawled out in his sleeping loft, snoozing away with his paw over his eyes. Once he sensed my presence, he bounded right up, bowed his head, and treated me to the softest head butts ever. Sweet Duffy with the piercing green eyes came to us from a home, and his former owner vouched that he was friendly, playful, and outgoing. He lived with a female cat and got along very well with her, and with the two dogs in the household he was tolerant and peaceful. Duffy is a very good boy who isn’t used to the bustle and noise of the cat adoption room, but he’s adjusting well, which tells me he’ll adjust to a new home just fine too. Come meet all 16 pounds of the Duffster today!
Another volunteer writes: Independence Day, Labor Day, first day of autumn . . . come on, how many more holidays does the world’s sweetest tabby cat have to spend in the cat adoption room before his forever family takes him to his real home? Mellow chunkster boy Duffy has been at the Care Center for a few months now, and though he’s a volunteer favorite who everyone adores, we really want to see this patient (and perfect!) fellow leave soon with his adoption papers signed. If you’re looking for a well-behaved gentle buddy, don’t overlook our Duffy any longer.
Another volunteer writes: Duffy is one of our longest running residents. When I met him at the shelter he was calm and friendly, but sort of ho hum. Who could blame him, after three months and the same three walls. When I met him again on the ACC van which travels to different neighborhoods each weekend with adoptable cats and dogs, he was so alive to everything going on around him. He was mesmerized by what he saw through his kennel window looking out onto West 72nd Street. He was so happy to see the world. If you have a window, we have just the right kitty for you.
