DONALD – A1090324

***GONE 09/24/16***DARLING DAISY AND DONALD NEED RESCUE ANGEL! Daisy and Donald are a purrfect pair of sweet but shy six month old kittens that desperately need us to advocate for their precious lives tonight. They came in with their feline friend, Minnie (who may or may not be related–and who is also listed tonight) as a trio of terrific kitties who need a patient purrson to give them a new “leash” on life. Daisy and Donald tolerate petting and handling but are obviously stressed in their shelter environment. Who can blame them? They need a kind purrson who can give them a chance to decompress from being at the ACC and learn to trust people. Please open your heart and home to this dynamite duo by offering to foster or adopt. Email our help desk and we will help you be a hero to a couple of deserving homeless kitties–[email protected] They only have tonight. We are their only hope. Make the call for darling Daily and Donald NOW!!!

09/21/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Donald was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. Reaction to assessor: Donald was curled up on his blanket with wide eyes focused on all movements. Reaction when softly spoken to: Donald’s eyes are fixated on the assessor’s hand and he lip licks when spoken to softly. Reaction to cage door opening: Donald remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Donald leans his head away and lip licks when the assessor extends his hand out. He closes his eyes when touched then gets uncomfortable and hisses at the assessor. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Donald tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his or her new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
