DOMINO – A1088593
Gone - 9-9-2016 Brooklyn
*** GONE 09/09/16 *** DARLING DOMINO NEEDS SOME EXTRA HELP TONIGHT!! Four year old DOMINO is already NEUTERED but extremely fearful!! Clearly, he was someone’s pet at some time but how he ended up on his own, we don’t know……DOMINO did allow some petting but what he really needs is time to decompress and get to know a purrson and a home to feel safe again. Well we all know that the last thing the ACC will give a cat is time, so someone needs to be DOMINO’S hero tonight!! He is publicly adoptable or he can be fostered through rescue…..EITHER WAY IT SAVES HIS LIFE!!

09/04/2016 PET PROFILE MEMO
09/04/16 12:25 Behavior During Admissions: Domino came into our care center as a stray. Upon opening Domino’s carrier the counselor noticed that the cat’s eyes were dilated. The counselor slowly blinked at Domino, which the cat then reciprocated. Domino allowed pats on the head but remained nervous; ears pointed towards the back and tucking in of the body. The counselor gave the cat food which remained untouched. After the evaluation was complete the counselor was able to ease the cat back into the carrier.

09/08/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Domino was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. Reaction to assessor: Domino was curled up in the back of the kennel. Reaction when softly spoken to: Domino becomes alert and has wide eyes focused on all movements. Reaction to cage door opening: Domino remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Domino’s ears flatten and he lip licks as the assessor extends his hand out. He sniffs the assessor’s hand and allows petting with a slow approach. He slowly leans in for rubs but is easily started by any sudden movements and quickly shift away and curl his body up. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Domino tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his or her new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
