SAFE 4/14/18 Diddy is a 12 year old, DSH female who was spayed prior to coming into the shelter. She has no known health issues or injuries and has not seen a vet recently. She was adopted from BACC approximately 12 years ago and was surrendered due to the owner not having time to care for her.

Lying in back of kennel, body neutral and eyes wide. She tolerates petting along her head and body while turning her head to smell my hand curiously. Unsure but curious – has potential to warm up.

Lying down underneath her kuranda bed, tail wrapped around her body. She turns away slowly when spoken to softly. Needs you to make the 1st move, leans in when rubbed on her cheeks. Accepts touch, raises rear when pet along her back. Inches forward for treats, but retreats when someone enters the room. Needs more time to warm up.

Diddy seems curious and leans forward to investigate when coaxed by the assessor.

Diddy sniffs the assessor’s hand, the closes her eyes and accepts gentle petting along her body. She lip licks throughout the interaction, but appreciates attention and leans in for rubs on her cheeks. Her body feels tense and she seems a bit skittish, retreating whenever someone walks by.

She sleeps anywhere in the home and is litter box trained using an uncovered box with clumping or crystal litter.
Behavior Notes:Diddy was easy to handle during intake. She did keep a low body but allowed counselor to collar her.
