History : Litter of 8 kittens, all with signs of URI
Subjective:
Observed Behavior – BARH. Allows all handling. Eating with excellent appetite
Evidence of Cruelty seen – No
Evidence of Trauma seen – No
Objective
P = WNL R = WNL BCS 4/9
EENT: Eyes clear, Significant conjunctivitis OS, minimal nasal discharge, slightly dirty ears AU
Oral Exam:
PLN: No enlargements noted
H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupnic
ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated
U/G: Male
MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, healthy hair coat, discharge at right neck and shoulder region (likely nasal discharge from littermate)
CNS: mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities
Assessment: Conjunctiviits
Plan: Rec doxycycline 0.3ml PO q24 x 10 days and erythromycin OU q24 x 10 days
Prognosis: Excellent
SURGERY: Temporary waiver due to URI
