SAFE 12/1/17 DELUCA is a sweet and handsome long haired cat that needs a new loving home.
Deluca 14540 – 2 yr. neutered long haired brown tabby, stray:
Deluca was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home.
Allowed all handling
Comes forward as I approach and makes eye contact. Allows all petting while leaning in with tail raised. Very matted. Doing well behaviorally after first day.
Reaction to assessor:
Deluca was lying down, relaxed and meows softly when the assessor approached him.
Reaction when softly spoken to:
Deluca stretches then starts to knead on his blanket.
Reaction to cage door opening:
Deluca’s eyes widen and he becomes focused on his surroundings.
Reaction to touch:
Deluca leans in for attention and rises up as the assessor pets him along his back. He tends to focus on his surroundings but he’s easily distracted and goes back to soliciting attention.
Reaction to being picked up:
Deluca was a bit tense when picked up, but he tolerates all handling.
H – Healthy
Deluca interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.

Deluca is a brown tabby that is possibly 3 years old. The cat was found in the street. The cat was matted but friendly. The client decided to bring the cat to ACC.
The cat during intake allowed all handling. The cat allowed to be scanned, photographed and collard.

MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, hair coat – sever mats all over body
CNS: Mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities
Assessment – Mats
Plan: sedation and shave down
SURGERY: altered male
