SAFE 1/25/18 DAX is a return to the shelter by his owner who claimed he tried to move the cat from one location to another and got bit and scratched. Since at the shelter DAX has been calm, sweet and friendly and able to be handled with no aggression at all. He is already neutered and needs a furever home.

EENT: Eyes clear, ears clean, no nasal discharge noted, scant dried mucoid discharge seen
Oral Exam: mild dental tartar and gingivitis
PLN: No enlargements noted
H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupnic
ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated
U/G: no testicles palpated in scrotal sacs
MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, healthy hair coat aside from mild flaking
CNS: Mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities

scant mucoid ocular discharge OU

mild flaking on skin: r/o dry skin from winter weather
mild dental and periodontal dz

Prognosis: very good

Plan:
DVM recheck OU to ensure no conjunctivitis 1/12/18
long term consider dental px for teeth, if p permits can brush teeth every other day with cat toothpaste/brush
