10/03/16 12:22 Dash is coming to the care center as a stray. The surrender states that Dash has been in the area for about 2 years and are they ones that feed him. They no longer want to see Dash in the street and decided to surrender him to ACC. The surrender reports that Dash is friendly around people and is well behaved with the other cats in the neighborhood. Dash can be seen during the day and night. Admissions Behavior: Dash sat in the back of the back of the carrier and meowed. When the carrier was approached and the carrier door was opened, Dash did not move. The couneslor offered Dash wet food but he was not interested. Dash nuzzled the couneslor’s hand when his ears were pet. He allowed to be picked up and carried out of the carrier onto the counter for photos. Dash was easy to photograph because he sat still and looked around with his head

Dash was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. Reaction to assessor: Dash was lying down at the front looking out at his surroundings. Reaction when softly spoken to: Dash meows softly then rolls around and reaches his paws out towards the assessor. Reaction to cage door opening: Dash is calm and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Dash rubs up against the assessor’s hand, allows petting all over and gives light head butts. He rolls around, is relaxed and is very affectionate. Reaction to being picked up: Dash was a bit tense when picked up but remains calm and allows all handling. Behavior Determination: Average Dash interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
