11/25/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Daphne was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. Reaction to assessor: Daphne comes to the front as soon as the assessor approaches then gently brushes up against the kennel bars. Reaction when softly spoken to: Daphne is relaxed, her tail is erect and she starts to roll around playfully while reaching out for attention. Reaction to cage door opening: Daphne is calm and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Daphne seems very sweet as she rubs up and gives the assessor soft head butts. She allows petting all over, leans in for rubs and is curious of her surroundings. It appears that she doesn’t like being touched on her lower back for too long and will quickly whip around and focus on the assessor’s hand as a warning to stop. Reaction to being picked up: Daphne is calm, relaxed and remains calm in the assessor’s arms. Behavior Determination: Experience Daphne may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
