*** SAFE 01/13/18 *** DANNY was brought in by owner stating he tested positive for ringworm at the vet but the shelter did not detect anything. He is about 5 months old and friendly and needs a furever home and some follow up care.

I came into the shelter as a owner surrender on 27-Dec-2017, with the surrender reason stated as animal health – other.

Danny is at risk for medical reasons. Danny has ringworm which is contagious to other cats and unable to be treated in the shelter. Behaviorally, we have no concerns for Danny, whom we believe would be suitable for most homes.

Behavior Notes: Danny is fearful when riding in a car. Danny’s previous owner did not attempt to trim his nails, brush his coat or place him in a carrier so it is unknown how he will react to these events.Danny is fearful of being given a bath and doesn’t mind being disturbed while sleeping/resting or being picked up/held.

Danny was kept indoors only and was given wet food. Danny is litter box trained and uses a hooded litter box with non-clumping litter. Danny used a scratching post made of rough rope.

MEDICAL BEHAVIOR:: Observed Behavior: allows all handling, friendly
ENRICHMENT NOTES:: Curled up asleep in litter box. Woke and came briefly forward when given treats, didn’t eat, wandered over to other kennel and lay down on bedding, still sleepy. Allowed touch, brief hesitation, then started to lean hard into pets, purred, rolled over.
