CROISSANT – A1068270
Safe - 3-28-2016 Manhattan Rescue: Feline Rescue of SI Please honor your pledges: http://felinerescueofstatenisland.org/donation/
**SAFE 03/28/16** NEW HOPE RESCUE needed for CROISSANT, a stunning young lady who was found in the basement of a pizzeria. The police gave her a lift to the ACC and her initial medical notes show a cautious, yet curious and friendly cat. Unfortunately the shelter environment completely scares this gentle soul, which has played out as a New Hope rating. Only a rescue can pull her to safety tonight, and in order for that to happen, a rescue is going to need a foster/adopter for placement. Please share her story, please pledge toward her care, and please find that hero who can work with a New Hope rescue group to save CROISSANT, tonight!

03/22/16 19:08 Croissant is an adult female torbie DSH cat. She was found in the basement of a pizzeria and brought to ACC by police. Croissant was a little tense but was tolerant while I pet her, scanned her (-), collared her, picked her up, positioned her for pictures, and put her in a carrier. Croissant walked and looked around while on the counter, often with a low body. She didn’t resist, retreat, or vocalize.

03/25/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Croissant looks neutral in the cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Croissant remains lying down on her cage bedding, grumbling in place. Reaction to touch: Croissant does not allow the stroke, hisses, and swats at the assessor’s hand. Placement determination: NH ONLY Croissant is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room. She is stressed in the shelter environment and does not currently tolerate petting. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
